Hypocrites And The High Cost Of Ideology

In our post below, we stated our belief that Al Qaeda is in effect, recruiters for what is essentially the Islamist Hitler Youth. As we said, the these youthful recruits are more dangerous than the Hitler Youth, for sure, but in reality, that is what they are.

In fact, what has become Al Qaeda has been entirely predictable. When you take children and indoctrinate them in hatred, the resulting foundation is inevitable. In the same way that Germans invested in Nazi ideologies as part of their school curriculum, so too has radical Islam ideologies become part of religious instruction. By the time the child is 15, he is motivated and capable of doing harm. By the time he is 20, in addition to the motivation, he has access to the money and means to commit acts of terror.

Many are surprised that some of the terrorists come from middle class backgrounds. That surprise is indicative of how little they understand about the terrorist ideologies.

Terror has nothing to do with economics and everything to do with ideologies. It is true that the terrorists will use the terms ‘economic disadvantages’ as part of their justification for their outrage, but that is all for show. If they really cared about the economically disadvantaged, they would build businesses and fund opportunities. They would not build bombs and fund terror. Much of the western world cannot see beyond a shrewdly crafted display of ‘victim hood’ that defies logic. When suicide bombers homes are destroyed, for example, there are groups, American and European, that fall over each other, in the noble effort to rebuild those homes. There are no efforts to rebuild the busses or the lives shattered by the terrorist that blew up those busses to begin with. Is any wonder that recent fatwas decrying terror against civilians specifically exclude Israelis? They Islamists have every reason to believe that the West will not stand up for Israeli terror victims.

Is history repeating itself? Didn’t we know what was to become of the Jews in Europe? Mein Kampf (a perennial Arab best seller) was quite clear as to what Hitler’s agenda really was. We didn’t care enough then, and it seems, we don’t care enough now.

By coupling noble words in a morality of hate, many in the west are being plied with the wine of deceit. In a drunken stupor, they believe they alone are the arbiters of truth and ethics.

In fact, the west has no moral authority to tell Israel how to defend herself. Europe has no moral authority to tell the US what is or isn’t in her best interest. The west, has allowed for the tragedies in Darfur, the Congo, Sierra Leone and Rwanda, for example, to claim millions of lives. The west has done nothing to alleviate those tragedies.

Those countries and voices that excoriate Israel and the US are hypocrites of the highest order. In their attempt to inflict their own sick morality on those countries, they fail to deflect attention away from their own shortcomings. The phony moral outrage of much of the French left is laughable in the face of reality. French treatment of the Basques, for example, rivals Saddam’s treatment of the Shia. For some reason, the French don’t want to be reminded of that. The French have yet to come to terms with their own Vichy wartime government, collaborators all. The French atrocities in Algeria are only now coming to light.

The bloody hands do not come clean as fast or as easily as the French would like.

Like the French, the Russians are hardly paragons of virtue. No matter how hard the Left tries, it cannot wash it’s hands of the purges that cost millions of loves.

The ideology of the Islamists has tainted the ideologies of some on the Left. The Left believes it can separate the political ideology from the religious ideology, extracting what it needs as fodder, to be used for political advantage.

What they do not understand is that the Hitler Youth of today, make no such distinctions. They have been taught well. The much ‘oppressed minorities’ of gays and lesbians, for example, or ‘liberated’ women, are hated by the Islamists with the same fervor as they hate the Jews. It is an irony of history, perhaps, that Jews will never again allow themselves to be such easy victims. Today, we are looking at groups that are willing to march into the ovens, knowing full well what the Islamist stated intentions are, and yet believing that somehow, they will be exempt.

Muslim parents who tolerated the ideology of hate taught in Mosques and Madrassahs, are coming to realize that in their attempt to keep their ethnic ‘identities,’ they have created monsters- self absorbed, self righteous, evil bastards that would destroy everything those parents came to believe in- a free society with free opportunities for all. Instead, they ended up as the parents of the Hitler Youth did, not knowing if their own child was an informer, ready to denounce the very ideas and beliefs their parents fought so hard for.

Wars are zero sum games. There are winners and losers. We will not allow our society to be broken by the Hitler Youth of today. That the propaganda is so pervasive in the Islamic world, only serves an indicator as to how far those ideologies- and societies will fall.

There were 12 year olds defending Berlin in the last days of the second World War, fighting with real weapons and real bullets, attempting to inflict real damage. They were cut down- and rightfully so, tragic as that was.

Even more tragic was the reality that it took the destruction of Germany before she realized the magnitude of what they had done. The same can be said for Japan. In antocipation of an invasion, the Japanese were given sharpened bamboo poles, to used a weapon- to defend an ideology of hate and cruelty. Ask the Chinese about Nanking. Ask the Koreans about Japanese occupation practices, all as a result of ideologies of hate, taught from a young age.

The parents of those children, and German and Japanese society as a whole, bore a lot of the blame. Ideologies of hate come with a high cost, as the Muslim world is beginning to find out.

As we noted, societies, progress, they do not regress.

‘100% Of The Vote!’ And The Ballot For Reality

What do many of the those activists in this election have in common with Saddam Hussein?

Well, they live in a world where they demand a 100% voting victory!

That’s right. In the last ‘free election’ under Saddam, the results tallied up an impressive 100%! The previous election results were a bot less impressive- Saddam received 99.96% of the vote. Not satisfied with that poor showing, he must have found an election ‘consultant’ or ‘analyst’ (you know, someone like Kos, Jane or the ever brilliant Christie.), the kind that need to win 100%- at whatever cost, just to ‘fuck George Bush.’ You know, the intellectuals.

In any event, there are those here who like the way the kind of of outcome elections under Saddam Hussein’s reign and would like to see noting less here- and they are doing their best just to ensure just that (right, Jane?)!
