Adolf Hitler, Nazi quotes:

The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed the subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty.

Adolf Hitler, Nazi quotes:

Why nationalize industry when you can nationalize the people?

Adolf Hitler, Nazi quotes:

All propaganda must be so popular and on such an intellectual level, that even the most stupid of those toward whom it is directed will understand it… Through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as hell, and also the other way around, to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise.

Adolf Hitler, Nazi quote:

In relation to the political decontamination of our public life, the government will embark upon a systematic campaign to restore the nation’s moral and material health. The whole educational system, theater, film, literature, the press and broadcasting – all these will be used as a means to this end.

Hermann Goering, Nazi quote:

I joined the party because I was a revolutionary, not because of any ideological nonsense.

Eric Hoffer, Nazi quotes:

Unless a man has talents to make something of himself, freedom is an irksome burden. Of what avail is freedom to choose if the self be ineffectual? We join a mass movement to escape individual responsibility, or, in the words of the ardent young Nazi, “to be free from freedom.”

James A. C. Brown, Nazi quote:

Communism and fascism or Nazism, although poles apart in their intellectual content, are similar in this, that both have emotional appeal to the type of personality that takes pleasure in being submerged in a mass movement and submitting to superior authority.

Reality Points Memo

February 19, 2007

The Democrats who insist we pull out of Iraq now are authoring the demise of their party and their credibility.

Sooner or later democracy will come to the Middle East. Even if this attempt to democratize Iraq fails, Mr Bush will regarded kindly by history. He will be remembered as the American president who believed that freedom for the Arab world was a worthy cause. His critics will be remembered for abandoning the cause of freedom in favor of political gain.

Mr Bush will be remembered for wanting to go the distance so that Iraqis might sow and then reap the rewards of freedom. The Democrats in today’s Congress will will have blood on their hands as Iraq descends into chaos and mayhem that will makes today’s violence seem benign. They be remembered, throughout the Arab and Islamic world,  as the enablers of the butchers that will ply their trade with abandon in Iraq, after we leave.

Iraqis, Arabs and Muslims the world over will rightfully come to regard America and American freedoms as representative of hypocrisy and as unreliable or trustworthy. The message the Democrats are sending is clear- America cannot be trusted to back efforts to democratize nations.

If the Democrats really cared about democracy, Iraq and the Middle East, they would have offered up an alternative to the Bush Doctrine (An idea the Democrats abhor- that all nations are best served by democracy and freedom). Instead, they want to run and allow Iraq to descend into further chaos. The Democrat agenda is predicated on the belief that ‘getting Bush’ is far more important than democracy, freedom or the lives of tens of thousands of Iraqis. If that were not the case, the Demcrats would not be insisting we leave Iraq now.

Why are Congressional Democrats silent on the Condaleeza Rice peace initiative in  Israel/Palestine? Why are Democrats silent on the continued refusal by Hamas to renounce violence and to recognize Israel? Because they are being true to form.

If the Democrats are willing to abandon those seeking democracy and freedom in Iraq, and leave that nation to radical butchers, why would the Democrats not leave Israel to those who promise death and slaughter?

Congressional Democrats remain silent on the Hamas record of racism, bigotry and hate. There are no public demands in concert with the Bush administration that Hamas recognize Israel and agree to previous agreements. It appears that supporting calls for non violence, an end to terror and a peace accord between the Palestinians and the Israelis are less important than appearing to support this administration.

The Democrats will dance themselves into irrelevance.

SC&A will publish a ‘Reality Points Memo,’ later on.

We decided to delay our morning post and suggest you visit Gates of Vienna.

Their morning post, Jamaat ul-Fuqra in Georgia- From the Air, is a must read.

The Baron’s looks at a shadowy organization that are “gliding through the shadows, unnoticed by the vast majority of Americans,” as he puts it. The group is led by a less than savory character:

Sheik Gilani calls on American Muslims to help him form an “international organization.”

“We have reached out and prepared them to defend themselves in a highly specialized training in guerrilla warfare,” he says, referring to two camouflage-clad black men flanking him. “Life is becoming more hard for Muslims. Therefore, every man and woman will learn to defend himself or herself.”

The Baron’s tone is ominous- and might even be prescient, Firs he quotes a member’s comment:

The provocative tactics instigated by some members of CAN resemble events that led to the sad memories of Ruby Ridge and Waco. We are hopeful and pray that this venom of hatred never finds it’s [sic] way to Charlotte County, Virginia.

The Baron takes note of the tone and nature of the remarks:

It seems obvious to me that the Madinah Road compound near Commerce is preparing for another Waco. Waco is now the gold standard for confrontations between private armed groups and the government. Any scrutiny of a group’s behavior “invites another Waco”.

To be clear, the Baron is not engaged in witch hunt that targets Muslims.  His interest lies only in seeking out and understanding those who would do us harm. Although at times there may be some Muslim Americans and law abiding Muslims from other places who feel otherwise, the track record is clear. There has been no deliberate targeting of Muslims in America anymore than there was deliberate targeting of Italian, Jewish, Irish or mobsters for any other community in the government’s war on organized crime.

Were innocents wrongly accused at times? Yes, there were incidents of innocents wrongly accused. When that happened, the government rightfully apologized and took steps to avoid that happening in the future.

The Italian, Jewish and Irish and other communities and minorities were all supportive of efforts to rid their community of those who would dishonor and bring shame upon them.

Muslims are not being targeted. Muslims who would do our country and community harm, however, are no different from other criminals. They will be sought out and dealt with.
