Hollywood Nuts For Sanity

Hollywood, California (MHNN)- It’s official. Hollywood has gone nuts for Sanity.

Producers of American Idol and The Apprentice have announced that they have picked up the broadcast version of Pat Santy’s Carnival of the Insanities will be picked up for at least two seasons. Rights for the broadcast version were fought over bitterly by CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox. European broadcast right were secured by the BBC. Following the announcement in London, French broadcaster TV Merde announced they would schedule ‘Cochonerie,’ a political drama in the same time slot.

Tentatively titled ‘The Idiots,‘ the show has been the series of much anticipation and speculation. After a long search for the actress to play Dr Sanity, a decision was made. Anna Nicole Smith was tapped for for the job.

It is believed that Ms Smith’s drug use might have come about as a result of stress that resulted out of fears as to whether or not she would be a credible Dr Sanity. Smith was not sure she would be able to come across as a former physician with three advanced degrees.

The attorney representing Smith’s estate has indicated that astronaut Lisa Nowak was actually on her way to the Bahamas to be interviewed by Smith. Nowak had been asked to immerse Smith in NASA culture and to provide an insight into the environment the astronauts work in, so that she might portray a credible Pat Santy.

Unnamed Hollywood sources say the the shows producers have tapped runner up of The Idiot casting search. Dolly Parton is said to have agreed to fill Anna Niclole Smith’s shoes.

Actress Susan Sarandon has filed suit, saying the role was offered to her. Her claim will be complicated as a spokesperson for the Dixie Chicks has announced that his clients were told they were selected to be Anna Nicole Smith’s replacement. “Her shoes were just too big to be filled by one person,” he said.

Prince Frederic von Anhalt, Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband, has said that in addition to claiming he is the father of the baby, Anna Nicole had promised him the lead co-host role. He announced his intention to file suit in a court, somewhere.
