Chutzpah And Too Broken To Be Fixed
July 7, 2007
According to Al Jazeera, where reality is always in the rear view mirror, the great Darfur tragedy and genocide are the fault of the Jews. The article begins breathlessly:
More than five hundred Sudanese refugees have fled to Israel in the last two months to escape genocide in Darfur [emp- SC&A].
Now Israel is threatening to deport them.
Now let’s look at this for a moment. The Arab Janjaweed have slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Darfurese in the last few years. In the past few decades, the slaughter in Sudan has claimed over 2 million lives. Often referred to as a ‘civil war,’ the conflict in Sudan had it’s real origin in the deliberate attempt to eradicate the Christians and animists in the region. It should be noted that not only has the the Arab world done nothing to stop the slaughter and genocide, they have impeded any attempt to intervene and stop the slaughter.
The Arab League in fact, acted to block any intervention that would address the Arab Janjaweed genocide of the long suffering Darfurese. That really shouldn’t surprise anyone- the Arabs have a long history of oppressing Africans. There are Arab slave traders running wild in Mauritania, plying their evil (slavery in Saudi Arabia ended only in the 1960′s, officially. Unofficially, there are still thousands of slaves kept in that nation and even Saudis in the US have brought that ‘cultural expression’ with them. See this, for example.
The Al Jazeera article does not address why the Sudanese refugees do not want to find refuge in Egypt and other Arab nations- could it be because there is Arab world complicity in the genocide in Sudan, by virtue of their silence? Could it be the Sudanese refugees want to go to Israel because they know what might await them in the Arab world? There are no more Christians and animists in Sudan because there aren’t any left. For over two decades, the Arab world remained silent.
Al Jazeera neglects to mention how an Arab country deals with refugees:
Many Sudanese find life difficult in Egypt, a country that struggles to provide jobs and social services for a growing refugee population. Egyptian riot police violently cleared a Sudanese refugee encampment in central Cairo in 2005, killing nearly 30 people.
Israel has no relationship with Sudan, other than the Sudanese desire to cozy up to their anti Semitic and Holocaust denying patron, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadenijad.
…he strong ties between Iran and Sudan necessitate more consultation between them toward confronting the colonialism conspiracies, and holding discussion on a number of international issues.
‘Colonialism conspiracies’?
Try as they might, Al Jazeera can’t really make the aftermath of the Arab Janjaweed genocide in Darfur an Israeli problem. Try as they might, the Arab world can’t make their refusal to intercede on behalf of the Darfurese go away.
They Arab world have been complicit in the slaughter in Darfur. They have been willing willing participants the genocide in Sudan by virtue of their deliberate silence and stand to prevent rescue and relief while the Darfurese were butchered by their Arab cousins.
How dare they sit in judgment of the Israelis? How dare they declare that nation’s moral inferiority while their own nations are nothing but a cesspool of failure, institutionalized hate, bigotry and corruption! How dare they discuss the failures of the ‘Jewish’ nature of the Israeli nation when their own Islamic culture has turned a blind eye to violence, ‘honor killings’ persecution of women and minorities and the worship of death, terror and mayhem!
The Arab world is broken. Arab Islamic societies reflect that brokenness and failure.
Simply wearing wearing western clothing or speaking western languages does not make for equality. Consuming western products, technology and even education, does not make for equality. The doctors in the UK terror plot are examples of that.
Broken societies produce broken people. There can be no other reality. If a machine is broken, what that machine produces, is broken. If a society and culture revolves around and teach hate, that society and culture will produce severely broken people who hate, no matter how much like us they look.
The fact remains that if Israel were gone tomorrow, the Arab world would be even more broken than it is now, in the belief that the slaughter of millions of Jews would serve to elevate them.
To understand just how broken the Arab world is, recall this and then this.
Here is a look at some of the pathology that fuels the genocide in Darfur:
While African women in Darfur were being raped by the Janjaweed militiamen, Arab women stood nearby and sang for joy, according to an Amnesty International report published yesterday. The songs of the Hakama, or the “Janjaweed women” as the refugees call them, encouraged the atrocities committed by the militiamen.
The women singers stirred up racial hatred against black civilians during attacks on villages in Darfur and celebrated the humiliation of their enemies, the human rights group said.
Only broken societal and cultural environments produce people like that. Only broken societal and cultural environments produce nations that turn a blind eye to the genocide and horrors. Only broken societal and cultural environments produce nations that would deliberately impede aid and rescue.
Welcome to the Arab world.

Maybe we should organize a worldwide concert series to decrease bull…. emissions.
OT-Have you read Richard Miniter’s 6/25 post at his Pajamas Media blog? He summarizes a profile study of Al Qaeda followers. It makes sense to me, but I don’t think one should overlook the problems that a huge non-elite population of radicals can cause when they control sections of western cities.

Thank you for this post. I was ALL out of Ambien.

In other words, you STILL have nothing cogent to say.
Nice. You went to public school, right?
July 7, 2007 at 10:16 PM
Obviously, so did you! I just can’t figure out which school offers a course in obnoxious windbag? You obviously excelled in that class.
July 7, 2007 at 10:32 PM
I’m sorry- what part of “nothing cogent to say” is puzzling to you?
To simply criticize without offering any alternative ideas or rational critique is the refuge of idiots.
As you know.
Now, if you have any cogent or rational critique, by all means, present it.
Alternatively, feel free to keeping making an ass of yourself.
Know what I mean? Sure you do!
Might I also add that the ‘whatanasshole.com’ descriptor is particularly appropriate. From a psychological perspective, well, that speaks volumes.
July 7, 2007 at 10:59 PM
you are a sanctimonous buffoon.
Have you ever read your crap? Everything you write from these blog posts to your shopping list has a pro-Israeli slant as if these peoples are absolved from all blame, all the time?
Yours are the rants of an angry bitter man. And one more thing: what are your qualications? Your discriptor of Sigmund Carl and Alfred? Hiding behind the monickers of three so called fathers of modern psychiatry does not make you an expert. Yes, THAT speaks psychological volumes, too! Now run along little Junior Therapist wannabe. I’ve grown bored with the tedium of this exchange.

“Everything you write from these blog posts to your shopping list has a pro-Israeli slant as if these peoples are absolved from all blame, all the time?”
For example? Give me some kind of rationale that makes your point. Anything. Impress me with your argument that Muslims going wild in Sudan is acceptable and that my critique is unacceptable.
“Yours are the rants of an angry bitter man.”
I see. And on what do you base that statement- or does pretending to be a woman automatically qualify you as less stupid than you really are and provide an rational excuse for the Janjaweed slaughter in Darfur?
In the future, why not try being original in your critique? I realize that you aren’t much of thinker, but cmon, pretend you made an effort.
You’ve always follow that same pattern. Know what I mean? Sure you do!!
Get help- call the County Mental Health office. Do it for your family. They don’t deserve what you’ve done to them.
July 8, 2007 at 12:18 AM
Perhaps I’ve struck a nerve? We always lash out at what attacks our core weaknesses, don’t we? So, I’ll pretend to be a man if you will. I would suspect “pretending” plays a vital role in your routine. Because I doubt seriously if you’re anything you portray yourself to be. A coward is the only thing that is glaringly apparent.
Big bluster!!! Big words!! Bravado. That’s your aliterative composition in a nutshell. You’re nothing but a hack with a thesaurus.
Based on one of your comments, I must ask, aren’t there some women you should be demeaning? Something tells me that’s also part of your archaic thinking. I wonder if your knuckles have scabbed over from all that incessant friction from rubbing along the ground when you walk? I cringe at the thought that men like you still exist. You set us back,my friend.
I’m ending this exchange. I’m going to bed now with my beautiful and intelligent wife. I would suppose that based on the timber of your responses to me tonight, you’ll be sleeping alone. Probably just as you have for years. Probably just as you always will.

LOLOL
The exchange is indeed ended. Like I said, a guy pretending to be a woman speaks volumes.
As for your ‘beautiful wife,’ I’m not sure anyone with so much testosterone qualifies as a ‘wife.’
You are a nothing, always have been a noting and will continue to be a nothing.
Like I said, get help- do it for your family.

Another great post SC&A. You’re on a roll!
Many years ago as I was a young adult fresh into university life, I remember I hanged out with some Moroccan friends – I went to the Mosque a couple of times and discussed religion with them. One discussion that stands out to memory was how ridiculous they found the New Testament exhortation to “Present the other cheek” (after one has been slapped). In Islam, they insisted, you don’t have that principle. Islam fights its enemies. It made sense at the time: after all this Christian advice is a recipe for defeat, and accounts for the fact that Christian societies disappear so easily when confronted to Muslims, as the last 1000 years show.
So I thought at the time that Islam was more reasonable that Christianity, and then I started reading the Qur’an (in translation). I was shocked at the amount of pages devoted to vile anti-Jewish and anti-Christian propaganda this book contains. I’d say at least half of the book endlessly repeats how wicked they are, and what exquisite fire tortures Allah has in store for them. Confronting my friends about this, they confirmed that told me that Jews were the enemy, as well as the Christians – “after Saturday, there is a Sunday” – meaning they “take care” of the Jews first, then they take care of the Christians. These were not ignorant peasants, but highly educated and intelligent university postgraduate students living in North America. According to them, it was OK to kill people because they belonged to enemy groups – including killing children – just because they belonged to that group.
Most North Americans do not even have this concept of a people being the enemy. We are not used to think like that. Post cold-war society has no enemies. This is why we have trouble to take Muslims to their word. This is why we don’t see behing the latest atrocity committed by Muslims the millenium-long historical tradition of Jihad killings. The Janjaweeds in Sudan just continue this time-honored Islamic tradition. They are pious Muslims. This is the reason why mainstream Muslims will not criticize the Janjaweeds, because thanks to them, the House of Islam continues its expansion today.
So your observations are true, SC&A, and I have no trouble imagining Arab women cheerleading the men on the way to the massacre. These societies are broken, and their religion plays a huge role into that. Religion, as Chris Hitchens put it, poisons everything. Islam Delenda Est.

Merci beaucoup, M Charbonneau pour votre idees.
Malheureusements, je ne parle pas encore courrament.
Your comments are most insightful and appreciated. In fact, I hope to write a post this week based on your remarks.

I have a rather more positive view of this article than most: I think Al-Jaz is being subtle.

Merci. If I may add further thoughts about this concept of the enemy. (Most) religions have postulated good and evil, friend and foe. At this modern stage of the history of Christianity, most priests and believers have understood that actually Evil is an abstract concept, to which you cannot pin any group of people. Satan is an abstraction; evil is liable to manifest itself in anybody, **including oneself**, and must be fought on a case per case basis, always remembering that any given person cannot be all evil all the time (maybe I’ll give you an exception to this rule for Hillary Clinton…). Modern Christianity has an abstract and introspective concept of evil, which is a good thing. Whether this is implicit in its foundational texts is debatable, since Christianity has historically persecuted groups of people in its history – this is a well-known historical fact.
What we observe in present-day Islam is, as you and many observers have noticed, a stage in which Evil is conveniently reified in a class of people (the hypocrits – “kufrs” – all Jews and Christian who stubbornly refuse the latest revelation), who are all evil, all the time. Of course, other people such as the Chinese and the Hindus are no better than animals. Characteristically, Muslims exhibit a abysmal lack of self-awareness of their own contribution to that evil, and probably the main reason for that is because their Good Book is absolutely and demonstrably (if one cares to read it) engaging in that kind of reification. And for modern-day Christians, it is next to impossible to understand (and too shocking to imagine) that Muslims would be so simplistic as to recognize **some people** as Evil.
The West is in trouble; probably not on a short-term basis, but in a couple of generations. I don’t know if you ever came across a marvelous game theory book by Robert Axelrod (“The evolution of cooperation”), in which he organized a tournament between different strategies playing a repeated Prisoner’s dilemma game. After many generations, the winning strategy was Tit-for-tat. It consists in always starting to cooperate, but defecting only after having been the victim of a defection. Eventually, whole populations of Tit-for-tat dominated the whole space, but subpopulations eventually throve in their midst, that consisted of pacifists: cooperate all the time, no matter what. Needless to say, these subpopulations of pacifists owed their existence to the fact that they were in an environment of tit-for-taters, who posed no threat to them. This is exactly where the West is nowadays: congenially incapable to defend itself.
By the mechanism of mutation, however there were always newcomers to the population, so eventually, real nasty strategies came to existence: defect all the time, no matter what. And guess what: in no time these strategies
eventually eliminated all the pacifists and dominated the game through *many* successive generations, at least until tough-minded tit-for-taters gradually came back to impose a new period of stability and prosperity.
I’ll let you draw your own conclusions as to the value of these game-theoretic computer simulations to our own historical situation.
