Napoleon’s Teapot

April 8, 2008

A peek behind the curtain:

A guy had been feeling down for so long that he finally decided to seek the aid of a psychiatrist.

He went there, lay on the couch, spilled his guts then waited for the profound wisdom of the psychiatrist to make him feel better.

The psychiatrist asked a few questions, took some notes then sat thinking in silence for a few minutes with a puzzled look on his face.

Suddenly, he looked up with an expression of delight and said, “Um, I think your problem is low self-esteem. It is very common among losers.”

A man who had been in a mental home for some years finally seemed to have improved to the point where it was thought he might be released.

The head of the institution, in a fit of commendable caution, decided, however, to interview him first.

“Tell me,” said he, “if we release you, as we are considering doing, what do you intend to do with your life?’

The inmate said, “It would be wonderful to get back to real life and if I do, I will certainly refrain from making my former mistake. I was a nuclear physicist, you know, and it was the stress of my work in weapons research that helped put me here. If I am released, I shall confine myself to work in pure theory, where I trust the situation will be less difficult and stressful.”

“Marvelous,” said the head of the institution.

“Or else,” ruminated the inmate. “I might teach. There is something to be said for spending one’s life in bringing up a new generation of scientists.”

“Absolutely,” said the head.

“Then again, I might write. There is considerable need for books on science for the general public. Or I might even write a novel based on my experiences in this fine institution.”

“An interesting possibility,” said the head.

“And finally, if none of these things appeals to me, I can always continue being Napoleon’s teakettle.”

******************

A doctor of psychology was doing his normal morning rounds when he entered a patient’s room. He found Patient #1 sitting on the floor, pretending to saw a piece of wood in half.

Patient #2 was hanging from the ceiling, by his feet.

The doctor asked patient number #1 what he was doing. The patient replied, “Can’t you see I’m sawing this piece of wood in half?”

The doctor inquired of Patient #1 what Patient #2 was doing. Patient #1 replied, “Oh. He’s my friend, but he’s a little crazy. He thinks he’s a light bulb.”

The doctor looks up and notices Patient #2’s face is going all red.

The doctor asks Patient #1, “If he’s your friend, you should get him down from there before he hurts himself”

Patient #1 replies, “What? And work in the dark?”

“The various pictures of heavily-clad women — many carrying small children and boarding buses — following a weekend raid on a polygamous compound in Eldorado, Texas, has spotlighted again the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Days Saints, especially its female members.

As authorities try to unravel what could be the country’s largest child abuse case in the nation’s history, some wonder how and why women in the cloistered community led by the jailed polygamist leader Warren Jeffs were silent for so long.”

    You filthy disgusting child-molesting pigs!!!

  2. SC&A Says:

Thank you, Buzz for bringing that up.

It’s probably time to discuss the large number of current examples of Muslim child molestation and pedophilia, also examples of what often happens in polygamous environments.’

    Thank you for the suggestion.

To paraphrase you, ‘Those filthy disgusting child-molesting pigs!!!’

  3. Buzz Kill Says:

You disgusting filty hypocrite. Pointing your finger across the cultural divide while your own daughters are raped and molested in hordes.

Really sickening. You are truly a subhuman race.

  4. Buzz Kill Says:

You can’t hide from the TRUTH Siggy.

    RUN LITTLE PIGGY-SIGGY!!! RUN!!!!

  5. SC&A Says:

Do you really want to compare examples of the cultural tolerance of child molestation and sexual deviance in many Islamic nations versus the western attitudes?

While deviancy is not unique to any society, the widespread and cultural acceptance of such deviant behavior is fairly unique to Muslim societies. The literature is replete with such examples.

Do you really want to go there?

  6. SC&A Says:

    LOL@Buzz!!

Exactly which race is subhuman? I know many Muslims have that belief- can you be more specific?

  7. Buzz Kill Says:

“While deviancy is not unique to any society”

    Thank you.

A rare deviance from your constant stream of lies and 1/2 truths. You live in a sick world where blame and intolerance is cast outwards and delusions of perfection concocted inwardly.

Diagnosis for Siggy the filthy lying piggy?
    Peter Pan Syndrome.
GROW UP SIGGY! YOU GOTTA GROW UP!

  8. Buzz Kill Says:

You live in a twisted fantasy world of magic where you can explain complicated, multifaceted problems with boneheaded, half-witted cooked-up explanations. Cuz you and your friends are omnipotent. Magically omniscient.

Know what I mean little siggy?
    Sure you do…..

    Bye.

  9. SC&A Says:

    LOLOL!

Where EXACTLY am I wrong? Where EXACTLY did I distort the truth? The literature is replete with examples of the cultural and societal acceptance in the Arab and Muslim world of what we would call child molestation- or is that part of the Protocols you refer to?

Scurry off, little Buzz…like the cockroach does when the lights come on!

On a more serious note, your clear obsession with child molestation and pedophilia is very telling Buzz. Given that you came here so clearly obsessed and frenzied, to opine on a subject not even discussed, leaves us only speculate on your clearly dysfunctional motives. Your abhorrence at practices here that are reviled here and that are routine in so many of the communities you ally yourself with only highlights the depth of dysfunction on your part.

If you ever get back into sorely needed therapy (and you will), you might want to discuss the victimization cycle. Even a most casual observer can connect the dots. Do you suppose your obsessions are not noted by the community you have attached yourself to? Do you suppose they do not see? Do you think you can hide your dysfunctions?

You’ve had enough experience to know the answer to that question. The passage of time has only served to marginalize you.

Therapy has not failed you, Buzz. The only thing your long list of therapy experiences have in common are you.

Therapists aren’t the problem- and never have been.

Help is a phone call away.

    Your family deserves better Buzz.

Maybe Buzz should go back to being Napoleon’s teakettle….

Speaking of needing the light, here’s a twist on the old chestnut:
