That’s disgustingly sexist. Aren’t men bashed enough already?

“Aren’t men bashed enought already?”
Ha–that is funny. I think making us into a big strong ape is kind of a compliment. Of course, I am 5′9″ and 160 so I WOULD see that as a compliment.

Come now. Let us rise above the feminists and have a sense of humor about ourselves.
It’s cute.
The common mistake, though, is that they think of women as cats and men as dogs. Women may be like cats, but men are like dogs only in the pack behavior element.
Otherwise, we are much more like bears — We eat, we sleep, we take a dump in the woods.
If we think about a problem, our goal is to solve it so we can stop thinking about it — not to complicate it and add all sorts of frippery to our perception of the problem.
When a guy is sitting there, and won’t tell you what he was thinking about, he may not be lying.
He really may not have been thinking at all.

When OhBloodyHell importunes us to “rise above the feminists and have a sense of humor about ourselves” he isn’t thinking at all about the feminists (and other factions of the womanfirsters) who long ago ran whatever humor might have been in that gag into the ground.
The man-bashing that Dessie Octavia Vargas correctly identified in that cartoon doesn’t get a laugh out of me anymore; feminists have jabbed at that humor nerve so frequently that they’ve killed it. So I don’t find that sort of “disgustingly sexist” denigration of men funny any longer.
