    There’s this fringe Christian movement (well-represented in American Evangelicals) called “Christian Zionism”. (Though in practice it’s better described as “Anti-Semitic Zionism”, since to them Jews are nothing more than pieces on their End Time Prophecy gameboard.)

    They often use a similar checklist to fear/guilt-trip American Christians into blind support of anything done by Israel. I know because they used it on me back in the Seventies and Eighties. Whether Israel is a good guy, bad guy, or whatever is beside the point; the Christian Zionist tactics reek of manipulation.
